Gold Teeth are one of the more confusing items in Pokémon Pokopia's Bubbly Basin expansion. They don't drop from enemies, they're not sold anywhere, and the game gives you almost no hint about what they're actually for. Here's exactly where to find them and why you need them if you want a complete Bubbly Basin Pokédex.
How do you get in Pokémon Pokopia?
Gold Teeth are obtained exclusively through Professor 
Tangrowth's appraisal system. You bring him Large Relics found in Bubbly Basin, and there's a chance he'll hand back Gold Teeth as the result.
The catch: it's not guaranteed. Large Relics can yield several different items when appraised, so you may need to 
collect and 
appraise multiple before one turns into Gold Teeth.

Large Relics are hidden inside glowing yellow blocks scattered throughout Bubbly Basin. To access them, you need 
Ditto's Rock Smash ability. Smash a glowing block and collect whatever's inside.
The contents of these blocks are randomized between several possible items:

- CDs
- Slabs for the Mew mural
- Small Relics
- Fossils
Because the drop is random, the best approach is a systematic sweep of the entire Bubbly Basin area rather than targeting one specific spot. Cover the zone thoroughly, smash every glowing yellow block you find, and bring everything back to Professor Tangrowth.

Gold Teeth serve two purposes. First, they function as a toy item that can be placed in your environment as decoration or used to raise a Pokémon's comfort level. Second, and more importantly, they're a required ingredient for a specific habitat.
How to spawn with
To add 
Feraligatr to your Bubbly Basin roster, you need to 
build the Biteable Punching Bag Habitat. Feraligatr is the only Pokémon that spawns there, making this habitat the sole way to encounter the fully-evolved form of Totodile in Bubbly Basin.

Gold Teeth purely as decoration before building the habitat. If you misplace them or use them for comfort bonuses, you'll need to farm more Large Relics before you can spawn Feraligatr.
Can you get more if you lose them?
Yes. If you've already used your Gold Teeth or need additional copies, you can use the camera and 3D Printer to duplicate the item. This means losing them isn't a permanent setback, but it does add extra steps before you can build the habitat.
Gold Teeth are classified as a toy in the game's item system, which is why they double as both a comfort item and a habitat ingredient. Keep that in mind when sorting your inventory.How to farm Large Relics efficiently
Since the Gold Teeth drop isn't guaranteed, having a reliable relic-farming loop matters. After testing the system across multiple runs, here's what works:
- Enter Bubbly Basin and locate every glowing yellow block on the map.
- Use Ditto's Rock Smash to break each block and collect the contents.
- Return to Professor Tangrowth and appraise all Large Relics at once.
- If no Gold Teeth appear, exit, wait for blocks to respawn, and repeat.
The other items you collect in the process (CDs, Small Relics, fossils, Mew mural slabs) aren't wasted. Mew mural slabs in particular contribute to another Bubbly Basin unlock, so keep those separate.

For Pokédex completion, yes. Feraligatr has no other spawn point in Bubbly Basin, and the Biteable Punching Bag Habitat is the only way to add it to your roster. If you're working toward a full Bubbly Basin Pokédex, Gold Teeth aren't optional.
The habitat itself also only requires Feraligatr, so once it's built and the spawn triggers, you're done with that slot. The grind is front-loaded on the relic farming side, not on the habitat management side.
