As with all Pokémon games since Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire, the food you give your Pokémon all has a specific flavor. In Pokémon Pokopia, each Pokémon has got a preferred flavor. If you give a Pokémon some food of the flavor that it likes, it will increase their comfy level and bond with you.

Certain foods do not have a distinct flavor, but they still provide specific benefits when eaten. They are great as a baseline but will not yield bonus comfy levels that flavored foods do.
