In Pokémon Pokopia, Mosslax is a unique version of
Snorlax that has slept for so long that moss has covered its body. Finding and waking Mosslax is a multi-step journey through Bleak Beach, but the rewards are well worth it. Once awake, Mosslax's
Eat specialty provides powerful gameplay boosts that can help you find rare items, attract more Pokémon, or even get discounts at the shop.
Where to Find Mosslax
You can find Mosslax in Bleak Beach, an area accessible after completing the Withered Wasteland Pokémon Center (past the first encounter with
Drilbur).

- From the Withered Wasteland entrance, head south toward the abandoned S.S. Anne.
- Turn left toward the beach hut and the stagnant water wheel.
- On the cliffside, you'll see several blocks. Use Rock Smash to break through.
- Mosslax is inside the lair, but it will remain asleep until you complete its specific questline.

How to Wake Up Mosslax: "Brighten Things Up!"
Waking Mosslax requires restoring light to Bleak Beach through the "Brighten Things Up!" questline. Before starting, ensure you've fixed the Pokémon Center and built habitats for
Meowth and
Trubbish.
Step 1: Follow Trubbish
Eventually,
Trubbish will hear strange noises. Lead it to Mosslax's location (you may need to build some bridges).

Step 2: Harbor Streetlights for Meowth
Speak to
Meowth in town. It will ask you to craft and place several Harbor Streetlights throughout the town. Use a Pokémon with the
Generate specialty (like
Pawmi) to power them.

Step 3: Torchic's Resort Habitat
Torchic will task you with creating a Resort meal prep habitat. Head to the beach directly in front of Mosslax's lair. You'll find a campfire and palm tree already there. Add:
- Log Chair
- Plate
-
Leppa Berry

Step 4: Peakychu and the Shell Lamp
A new Pokémon, Peakychu (
Pikachu), will arrive in town. After meeting it, Peakychu will suggest using a Shell Lamp to brighten Mosslax's cave.
- Recipe: 2x Seashell, 2x Sea glass fragments.
- Action: Craft the lamp, place it in the cave, and power it with an electric Pokémon.

Step 5: Windmill and Utility Poles
Peakychu will lead you to the Windmill on the beach.
- Place a Utility Pole within the Windmill's vicinity to transfer power.
- Place a Harbor Streetlight next to the Utility Pole.

Step 6: The Flash Device
Finally, Peakychu will lead you to a device.
- Clear any blocks in the way.
- Connect the device to a power source using Utility Poles.
- Once all five bulbs on the device light up, Peakychu will absorb the energy and perform Flash, illuminating the entire town.

Final Step: The Lightning Strike
After the town is brightened, return to Mosslax. A final lightning strike from a new Pokémon will hit the cliffside, waking Mosslax and opening up a new path.

Mosslax's Specialty: Eat
Once befriended, you can utilize Mosslax's specialty,
Eat. By offering food at its habitat, the Gourmet's Altar, you receive a special boost that lasts until the end of the in-game day (05:00 local time).

Gourmet's Altar Requirements
- Core: Offering Dish.
- Item Preferences: Mosslax likes "Strange" and "Soft" items.

List of Mosslax Boosts
