The More Spores for Hoppip event is the first limited-time event in Pokémon Pokopia. During this springtime celebration, trainers can befriend the Hoppip evolutionary line, which is otherwise unavailable in the wild.
This guide covers the event schedule, the unique Cotton Spore collection mechanic, and the specific habitat recipes required to summon Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff.
Event Schedule & Participation
The introductory event: More Spores for Hoppip.
- Start Date: Tuesday, March 10 at 5:00 AM local time
- End Date: Wednesday, March 25 at 4:59 AM local time
How to Participate
To start the event, you must have a fully repaired Pokemon Center in one of your main town areas. Look for a Hoppip standing inside the Pokemon Center and speak to it to initiate the event activities.
[!NOTE] Event features are currently unavailable on Cloud Islands (multiplayer islands). You must be in the main campaign areas to participate.
Collecting Cotton Spores
The core loop of the event involves collecting Cotton Spores, which act as the event currency.
How to Visit Dream Islands
Cotton Spores only appear on Dream Islands. To access these islands:
- Obtain any Doll item.
- Find Drifloon in your world and give it the doll.
- Drifloon will transport you to a Dream Island where Cotton Spores spawn abundantly.
Once collected, you can exchange these spores at the Pokemon Center shop for exclusive Picnic-themed items needed for habitat building.

Specifically designed to increase the spawn rate of Skiploom.

3. Dandelion Lunchtime (Attracts Jumpluff)
The premium habitat for encountering the final evolution, Jumpluff.

Featured Pokemon
| Pokemon | Habitat Requirement | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Hoppip | Yellow Carpet | Common |
| Skiploom | Yellow Carpet / Field-Trip Friends | Uncommon |
| Jumpluff | Yellow Carpet / Dandelion Lunchtime | Rare |
[!TIP] Since this is a limited-time event, focus on collecting enough Cotton Spores early to unlock the Dandelion Lunchtime items, as Jumpluff is significantly harder to find without the dedicated habitat.
