A limited-time event in Pokémon Pokopia adds three new Pokémon to the island: Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff. These Pokémon appear during a seasonal event and require specific steps before they can join a player’s Pokédex.

Unlike some Pokémon in Pokopia that appear naturally after building habitats, this event introduces a mix of direct spawns and habitat-based attractions. Players must rebuild certain facilities, gather event materials, and construct the correct habitats to unlock each evolution in the Hoppip line.

This guide explains how to find Hoppip, how to spawn Skiploom, and the fastest way to attract Jumpluff during the event.

How to Get Hoppip in Pokémon Pokopia

Hoppip is the first Pokémon introduced during the event and is the easiest to obtain.

The “More Spores for Hoppip” event runs from March 10 at 5:00 AM to March 25 at 4:59 AM (local time). When players log in during this period, a notification appears saying a Pokémon is the “talk of the town.” That Pokémon is Hoppip.

Hoppip can appear in any region of Pokopia, but there is one requirement: the Pokémon Center in that region must already be rebuilt. If a Pokémon Center has not been restored, Hoppip will not spawn there.

Once Hoppip appears for the first time, players can permanently host it by building a habitat or assigning it a house.

To create a habitat for Hoppip, players need:

After planting and growing the flowers, the habitat becomes available and Hoppip can be assigned to it. Players can also place Hoppip into an existing house if space is available.

How to Get Skiploom in Pokémon Pokopia

Skiploom does not spawn automatically like Hoppip. Instead, players must build habitats that attract it during the event.

There are two habitats capable of spawning Skiploom.

The first option is the Yellow Carpet Habitat, which requires 4 Dandy Flowers. However, Skiploom is only a rare spawn in this environment, meaning it may take a while before it appears.

The more reliable method is building the Field-Trip Friends Habitat, which significantly improves the chance of Skiploom spawning.

This habitat requires three items:

These items are purchased from Hoppip at the Pokémon Center using Cotton Spores, an event currency obtained during the Hoppip event.

In total, players need 15 Cotton Spores to buy all the required items. After building the habitat, Skiploom has a much better chance of appearing in the area.

How to Get Jumpluff in Pokémon Pokopia

Jumpluff works similarly to Skiploom and must be attracted using specific habitats.

Technically, Jumpluff can spawn from the Yellow Carpet Habitat, but it is classified as a very rare spawn there. Because of this, players may spend a long time waiting for it to appear.

The more effective option is building the Dandelion Lunchtime Habitat.

This habitat requires the following items:

Just like the items used for Skiploom habitats, these are purchased from Hoppip using Cotton Spores.

To buy everything needed for the habitat, players must exchange 30 Cotton Spores. Once the habitat is built, Jumpluff can begin appearing in the area.

Tips for Catching the Hoppip Evolution Line

Because the event is limited-time, players should prioritize gathering Cotton Spores and building habitats early.

A good strategy is to unlock Hoppip first, then start collecting spores by interacting with it regularly. Those spores can then be used to purchase the items required for the Skiploom and Jumpluff habitats.

It is also helpful to rebuild Pokémon Centers in multiple regions, since Hoppip only appears in areas where the center is active.

With the right habitats built and enough Cotton Spores collected, players can obtain the full Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff evolution line before the event ends.

Happy ranching in Pokopia!
